Summary

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to gather insights on narrowband and wideband Software Defined Radios (SDRs) and associated products, particularly focusing on Telemetry and Command (T&C) Front End Processing (FEP) applications. This RFI aims to conduct market research to inform the development of future requirements and guide acquisition decisions for ground system capabilities that support Landsat satellite operations. Contractors with expertise in satellite communications equipment manufacturing, particularly those offering commercially available off-the-shelf (COTS) or government off-the-shelf (GOTS) SDRs, are encouraged to respond. The information gathered will help the USGS explore emerging technologies that can enhance performance, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness in ground station operations.
