This work involves the removal of approximately 200,000 cubic yards of shoaled material, primarily sand and gravel, to restore the channel to its authorized depth of -35 feet Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) plus an additional 2 feet of allowable overdepth. The dredged material will be transported to the Sea Bright Offshore Borrow Area and potentially stockpiled at designated sites within the Sandy Hook Gateway National Recreation Area.
