Summary

The Department of the Air Force (DAF) is seeking innovative technical solutions for on-site backup power generation through a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) titled "Flexible Fuel 'Flex Fuel' Power Generation." This solicitation aims to prototype systems that enhance energy resilience by increasing system availability, fuel flexibility, and reducing costs and maintenance requirements compared to existing systems. Contractors with expertise in energy solutions, particularly those capable of developing technologies that can operate on multiple fuel types, are encouraged to bid. The project will utilize Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) to partner with both traditional and nontraditional defense contractors, as well as non-profit research institutions, to develop these prototypes.
