Summary

The opportunity for Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) aimed at gathering market research and planning insights for the procurement of new GNSS receivers and antennas. The USCG requires these systems to provide accurate and secure Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) services for its fleet, as the existing equipment is outdated and no longer meets operational requirements. This project seeks to replace obsolete hardware with modern, supportable components to enhance navigation capabilities at sea and improve Aids to Navigation (AtoN) services. Contractors with expertise in radio and television broadcasting, wireless communications equipment manufacturing, and those who can provide marine-grade GNSS technology are encouraged to respond to this RFI.
