Summary

The IX527 and IX528 Barge Preservation, Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance (PIRM) Support Services opportunity is being offered by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) to provide essential services for the Southeast Alaska Acoustic Measurement Facility (SEAFAC) located in Back Island, near Ketchikan, Alaska. This project involves the preservation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of two specific barges, IX527 and IX528, which will require contractors to tow the barges to their facilities for the necessary work. The government is seeking both small and large businesses capable of fulfilling these requirements, and a draft Statement of Work (SOW) has been provided for potential bidders to review. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend an Industry Day event to gain insights into the project and its requirements, although attendance is not mandatory for proposal submission.
