Summary

The Missile Field Cellular Communications opportunity is a Request for Information (RFI) aimed at gathering market research on the potential use of 5G cellular network architecture for the Sentinel Weapon System. This initiative focuses on enhancing operational command and control (OC2) communications for mobile security and maintenance personnel within missile fields. Contractors with expertise in designing, deploying, and maintaining both public and private 5G networks are encouraged to respond, particularly those capable of meeting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) standards. The government seeks to understand the capabilities of firms to provide comprehensive coverage across significant geographic areas, specifically the Malmstrom, Minot, and FE Warren missile fields, which collectively span approximately 42,000 square miles. This RFI is not a solicitation for proposals but rather a means to assess market capabilities and inform future acquisition strategies.
