Summary

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is issuing a Notice of Intent to noncompetitively acquire calibrated germicidal ultraviolet (GUV) irradiance probes from Optical Associates Incorporated. This acquisition is part of a project aimed at researching and determining the best commercially available GUV probes, which are essential for measuring the optical outputs of GUV sources that operate in the spectral range of 200 nm to 300 nm. The Air Force requires these probes to ensure the efficacy of germicidal installations. NIST will procure two sets of three calibrated GUV probes, with specific wavelengths centered at 220 nm and 254 nm. While the acquisition is noncompetitive, other vendors who believe they can meet the requirements are encouraged to respond with their capabilities and qualifications.
