Summary

The Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory is seeking contractors for the replacement of the Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory (FLWO) Dormitory located in Amado, Arizona. This project involves the construction of a new dormitory that meets current fire protection and life safety codes, as well as the demolition of the existing dormitory, which has reached the end of its useful life and poses a fire hazard. The new facility will be connected to the existing Commons Building, providing shared amenities for staff.
