Summary

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking capability statements from vendors for the installation of the SpaceX Starshield Aero Terminal on its C-37A aircraft, in accordance with Nextant Aerospace’s Supplemental Type Certificate (STC). This project involves not only the installation of the terminal but also the integration of the Starshield system into the existing communications infrastructure of the aircraft. The work must be completed by June 1, 2025, and requires vendors to be certified as FAA Part 145 Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities, with a preference for those holding Organization Designation Authorization (ODA). Contractors should have experience in aviation systems integration and be prepared to collaborate with SpaceX and USCG network engineers to ensure compatibility with existing systems. This opportunity is ideal for businesses with expertise in aerospace installations and communications systems integration.
