Summary

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information on vendors capable of providing a Thermal Conductivity Measurement Instrument. This instrument is required to perform non-destructive, non-contact, and spatially resolved thermal conductivity measurements across a variety of materials including solids, liquids, pastes, gels, and foams. The need arises from the semiconductor industry, which currently relies on imprecise thermal property inputs for simulation models. The instrument should facilitate high-throughput measurements without extensive sample preparation, thus enabling improved thermal management in microelectronics. Contractors with expertise in developing advanced measurement instruments, particularly those that can meet the specified technical requirements, are encouraged to respond to this sources sought notice.
