Summary

The Undergraduate Jet Training System (UJTS) Request for Information (RFI) is a market research initiative by the Department of the Navy aimed at gathering insights and information from industry stakeholders regarding the development of a new jet training capability for U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aviators. This RFI is part of an ongoing effort to replace the current T-45 Combined Multi-Service Pilot Training System, with a focus on achieving speed to Initial Operational Capability (IOC) and enhancing the quality of training. The UJTS program is expected to lead to a Request for Proposal (RFP) by December 2025, with a contract award anticipated in January 2027. Contractors with expertise in aviation training systems, engineering, and manufacturing are encouraged to participate in this RFI to provide feedback on the draft specifications and requirements outlined in the associated documents.
